Jim Tucker, PT, OCS, Owner Jim is a board certified Physical Therapist and a long standing member of the American Physical Therapy Association. His area of specialty is Orthopedic and Sports Rehabilitation where he uses a unique blend of manual therapy techniques, modalities, and the use of therapeutic exercise to reduce pain, improve posture, and restore functional mobility and performance. He earned a degree in Physical Education from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo followed by advanced training in Physical Therapy from California State University, Fresno. He is board certified as a Specialist of Orthopedic Physical Therapy
Chance Dupuis, PT, DPT Chance was born in the Big Sky state of Montana, where he graduated with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2014. Growing up in Montana, he always had a passion for outdoor sports, and gained an early interest in health and wellness while playing soccer competitively year-round. He recently joined the Seascape team to provide patient-centered and personalized care to the Aptos community. During his physical therapy training, Chance pursued extensive education in Manual therapy, including an independent study of Mulligan's Mobilization with Movement technique, along with spinal manipulation techniques. As a therapist, Chance has a special interest in improving the lives of his patients with the latest manual therapy techniques and specific exercise interventions. When he's not taking care of patients Chance can be found out on the ocean surfing, free-diving, and enjoying all that Santa Cruz County has to offer.
Erin Tucker, BS, CPT Erin is Jim and Kathy’s daughter. She graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a degree in Health Science and emphasis in Community Health. As a Certified Personal Trainer, her goal is to enhance her client's well-being through health and fitness education. She was a competitive volleyball player for nearly ten years and has lived and breathed fitness. She also enjoys yoga, pilates, volleyball, dancing, hiking, hanging out with her family and friends, and doing anything outside when the weather is nice.
Kathy Tucker, RN, CMP, Owner Kathy is an RN with over 20 years of nursing experiences. She's also a Certified Massage Practitioner and specializes in Integrative Swedish Massage. She offers this service in addition to teaching semi-private personal training sessions. Her goal is to help people achieve a balance between the stress of everyday life and relaxation. She enjoys dancing, gardening, and working out with her family and friends.
Roy Fowler, CPT, WLS Roy’s passion is improving lives through exercise and nutrition. He believes good health is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself, and is thrilled that he can help people reach their health and fitness goals. As a Certified Weight Loss Specialist and Nutrition Consultant, Roy can guide you on your “fitness journey.” His personal interest include competitive cycling and golf. Roy’s Credentials include: (1) Certified Personal Trainer, (2) Certified Weight Loss Specialist, (3) Metabolic Effect & Nutrition Consultant and (4) TRX Suspension Trainer.
Meg Lockwood, BS, CPT Meg is certified through the American Council on Exercise, and is currently pursuing a specialty certification in functional training. She has always loved to exercise. She played competitive basketball from fourth grade through college. Along the way, she graduated with a degree in counseling & psychology and has always wanted to be in a profession that helps others. Personal training is a great combination of these two passions. As a competitive athlete Meg overcame many injuries and as a result her primary goal is to help others prevent injury by teaching them how to move correctly. She loves her job as a Personal Trainer, but her most important role is being Mom to her two wonderful children. To Meg, exercise is a key element to enjoying life to the fullest, and she wants to help others learn to exercise well and to have fun while doing it.
Karma David, BS, Customer Service Karma has been in customer service for most of her career. She began at a title company when she was sixteen and from there, she worked a myriad of jobs (a winery, a non-profit environmental organization and a recording studio, to name just a few). She completed her Bachelors of Arts at Oregon State University in 2004 and her teaching credential at University of Berkeley in 2007. She loves working with people, getting to know them and connecting with them. She believes that superior customer service is a must when working with the public. When she's not working or working out(!) at Seascape Village Fitness, you can find her: on a hiking trail, in the kitchen (dreaming up a new recipe) or enjoying time with her husband and two sons.
Terry Phillips, Customer Service Terry is a retired Supply Chain Manager with twenty years of experience in and around the fitness industry. Born in Long Beach, CA, he grew up in Boulder Creek and Capitola. As a member of the Air Force he moved to Alaska where he served his country and his community. Terry helped manage the Athletic Club Fairbanks where he started as a life guard and taught swim lesson for thirteen years. He enjoys staying active by working out, swimming, tennis, and since his return to Aptos in 2005 he enjoys scuba diving locally as a certified Dive Master.
